Remote access to resources
Outside the academic network
Usługa serwer Proxy allows the use of e-library resources outside the academic computer network,e.g. from home, when travelling.
The service can also be run on mobile devices.
Configure
Configure your web browser / computer system to work with the SUM Proxy Server
according to the instructions:

iOS (iPad/iPhone)
How does it work?
After you configured your web browser / computer system to work with the SUM Proxy Server
- open your web browser,
- go to the index of biomedical databases or enter the URL of the resource you wish to use,
- in the window that pops up, enter your username (e.g. s12345@365.sum.edu.pl) and password.
The browser stores your login details for 2 hours. Closing the browser will automatically log you out.
Outside the academic network
The ‘Remote Access’ programme allows you to use the library’s electronic resources outside the university network, for example at home or whilst travelling.
The service can also be run on mobile devices.
The service is exclusively available for full-time employees of SUM to use.

The completed, printed and signed registration form should be sent to:

How does it work?
- run the software provided by the SUM Centre for Informatics and Informatisation (Centrum Informatyki i Informatyzacji ŚUM) on the device
- go to the index of biomedical databases in your browser and select the resource you want to use.
- or enter the address of the resource you wish to use.
