VR Simulator - Anatomy
VR Simulator - Anatomy is an innovative project developed by specialists from SUM's Centre for Distance Learning and Analysis of Educational Outcomes. The simulator is available on computers in the reading room of the SUM Branch Library in Katowice-Ligota.
The application gives the user the ability to decompose a selected anatomical structure into individual elements. The selected element, such as a bone or muscle, can be pulled out of the whole system, moved, zoomed in or rotated, so that each segment selected by the user can be viewed in detail. This provides an opportunity to learn about the structure and function of specific anatomical elements and systems. The application's nomenclature is available in Polish, English and Latin.
The simulator has a mode that allows you to save specific pieces of any anatomic system as a quiz or puzzle. Flexibility in the selection of individual quiz/puzzle pieces allows the application to be easily customized to meet individual needs and interests of users.
For more information about the simulator, visit the Centre for Distance Learning and Analysis of Educational Outcomes website (Polish version only).
