MDPI partner programme
On the November 24th, 2021, the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice joined the programme of the MDPI Institutional Membership Programwhich allows authors affiliated with SUM to obtain a 10% discount on publication for the APC amount (Article Processing Charges).
An author submitting a publication to a publisher has the option of selecting a discount option - IOAP Institution: Medical University of Silesia, Open access program discount. This option will appear if at least one correspondent author of the publication uses an email address in the domain of @sum.edu.pl. The MDPI publication registration system automatically invoices the correspondent author. The administrator of the IOAP Institution programme in the SUM Library then verifies in the publication registration system whether the article is entitled to a discount. If the correspondent author is a SUM employee and/or PhD student and/or student, the invoice will be changed from Non-central: Invoiced to author na Central payment: Invoiced to the Institution i zostanie przekazana do the SUM Centre for Research and International Cooperation..
