Frontiers Institutional Partnership
On September 1st 2024, the Silesian Medical University in Katowice joined the Institutional partnerships programme of Frontiers Publishing, which enables authors affiliated with SUM to obtain a 10% publication discount for the APC (Article Processing Charges) quota.
Publication eligibility for the programme occurs during the publication submission process in the publisher system. Below are the eligibility criteria in order:
- Author's selection of a Frontiers Publishing Partner institution (Medical University of Silesia) as the funding institution for the publication.
- Corresponding author's email address, if it is in @sum.edu.pl or @365.sum.edu.pl domain.
- Medical University of Silesia as the first affiliation of the correspondence author.
Meeting one of the above conditions will result in pre-qualification of the article for SUM funding. The final qualification is made in the publication registration system by the program administrator at the SUM Library. If the publication is approved for funding by the SUM, the invoice for the publication is sent to the SUM Centre for Research and International Cooperation.If not approved, the invoice is sent to the corresponding author.
