MDPI partner programme
Medical University of Silesia in Katowice joined MDPI Institutional Membership Program, which allows authors affiliated with SUM to receive a 25% discount on article publication within the APC (Article Processing Charges).
An author submitting a publication to a publisher has the option of selecting a discount option -IOAP Institution: Medical University of Silesia, Open access program discount. This option will appear if at least one correspondent author of the publication uses an email address in the domain of @sum.edu.pl.
The MDPI publication registration system automatically invoices the corresponding author. The administrator of the IOAP Institution programme in the SUM Library then verifies in the publication registration system whether the article is entitled to a discount.
If the corresponding author is a SUM employee and/or PhD student and/or student, the invoice will be changed from Non-central: Invoiced to author to Central payment: Invoiced to the Institution and will be forwarded to the SUM Centre for Research and International Cooperation..
